There is no longer any doubt as to whether the current
administration has committed war crimes. The only question
that remains to be answered is whether those who ordered
the use of torture will be held to account.

Karl Rove

Worse than Jim Jones. img via Wikipedia

I’ve long noticed contradictory qualities in people.  One reason I write is to explore this.  One question that has struck me over the years is the preponderance of villainous people in charities.  To the outside world they have an almost saintly status, and thus protected from scrutiny and accountability.  However, within the confines of their good works, they can exercise great abuse towards the subjects of their charity, all the while reminding them of their total dependence on them.

The Jim Jones Cult

Then, in watching a documentary of the Jim Jones cult and the mass Jonestown suicide in Guyana, I read about Jim Jones in Wikipedia, and low and behold he had selflessly been involved in  charitable endeavors — largely to do with racial justice — prior to and during the development of his multicultural cult in Guyana where in the isolation of Guyanese jungles. Eventually almost a thousand people in the Jonestown cult  committed mass murder and suicide.

Preying on the Vulnerable

Suddenly, the obvious dawned on me.  Shysters, sadists, pimps, ambulance chasers, and megalomaniacs examine society’s ills and figure out the demographics of desperation in order to find people to prey on. Pimps, psychiatrists, cult-leaders, and other suchlike individuals become masterful at pinpointing people’s weaknesses and exploiting them.

Cults Depend on Suppression of Facts and Mass Denial.  How is This Different From the Mainstream Media Suppressing Facts?

Jim Jones was a monster.  In 1978 many of his followers in Jonestown, Guyana, carried out monstrous acts that lead the the mass murder of hundreds of children and adult followers withing the confines of the cult, along with others. Almost a thousand people died in that madness.  The horror of this act was shown on the news.

CNN reported this in all its horror with graphic images of the monstrosity of this act.  Why didn’t they do the same with the war in Iraq. In contrast the mainstream media portrayed the war in Iraq as a charitable enterprise to liberate the people of Iraq.

The News Media Deliberated Conveyed a False Connection Between Iraq and 9/11

Although the terrorists who committed the terrorist attacks on 9/11 had no connection with Iraq and Saddam Hussein, were almost all Saudis, not one Iraqi among them, the media propagated the false impression of there being a connection between 9/11 and Saddam Hussein

The Mainstream Media is The Cultish Propaganda Arm of Fascist Extremists. Jim Jones is Small-Time Monster Compared to Karl Rove and His Puppet, George W. Bush

Somehow Jim Jones is more of a monster, in the media’s eyes, than Associated Press’s lead propagandist Karl Rove, George W. Bush, and the cabal of American decision makers who instigated an unnecessary war in Iraq that has lead the the death of 4000 American soldiers,  around 100, 000 Iraqi civilians (by conservative estimates), and the permanent loss of limb, maiming, and disfigurement of thousands upon thousands more.

CNN, Associated Press, Fox News, and Other Mainstream Media Outlets are Cultists Carrying Out the Orders of “Our Great Leader”

In order to assist these monsters, CNN and other fascist propanda outlets, repressed images of the human lives destroyed by military operations in Iraq, and still lend an aura of respectability to a cabal of war criminal right-wing cult leaders who instigated an unjustified war and authorized torture.

The actor Tim Robbins looked dejected and annoyed around 10:30 a.m. on Election Day, as he was sitting in a folding chair at the McBurney YMCA at 125 West 14th Street, one of the more than 1,300 polling places throughout New York City.

Robbins said that he had been surprised and dismayed to learn that he was not in the voter lists that are printed and bound before the election. He said,

“The issue is that they removed my name from the voting rolls. My name was there for the primaries.”
